Nearly 10 Million Pounds of Chicken & Beef Recalled At Trader Joe’s, Aldi, And More Due To Listeria Contamination

The FDA is recalling 9 million pounds of packaged meat and poultry because it might have Listeria. BrucePac made the products between June 19 and October 8, 2024. They were sent to stores like Trader Joe’s, H-E-B, Walmart, and Aldi, as well as restaurants.

Turkey Club Wrap (Best by dates: 09/09/24 – 10/14/24)
Fresh Express & Little Salad Bar (sold at multiple stores, including Aldi and Walmart): Chicken Caesar Salad (6.3 oz) and Santa Fe Style Salad (6.3 oz)
Marketside Caesar Salad With Chicken (various sizes)
HMS: Chicken Alfredo (Best by dates between 08/25/25 and 10/08/25)

Risk of Listeria Contamination

Regular testing by FSIS found Listeria bacteria, which can make people sick, especially older adults, pregnant women, babies, and those with weak immune systems.

Listeria infection can make you sick with symptoms like fever, feeling like you’re going to throw up, throwing up, headaches & stiff neck. In very bad cases, it can be deadly or cause a miscarriage.
Thankfully, no one has gotten sick from eating the bad products. But people should still be careful and stop using them. Check to see if you have any of the products that could be harmful.

What to Do If You Purchased Affected Products

If you bought any of the products that were recalled, follow these instructions:
Do not consume the product.
Take the item back
to where you bought it to get your money back.
Restaurants and institutions should also stop using these products and either give them back or throw them away.
If you feel sick after eating these products, see a doctor right away.
